One hundred and twenty-seven persons have been killed in 117 fatal crashes since the start of this year. Fatal crashes and fatalities have decreased by ten per cent and fifteen per cent respectively when compared with similar period in 2016. Fatalities have increased by four per cent over the period January to April 2017. Pedestrians account for 27 per cent of the road users killed since the start of the year. Motorcyclists account for 29 per cent of the road users killed since the start of the year.
