Six persons who allegedly fleeced an elderly Canadian woman of over 70 thousand Canadian dollars, have been arrested and charged. Investigators attached to CTOC and the Financial Investigation Division, say the six were taken into custody, following a series of operations in the corporate area on Tuesday, November 3. Five of those in custody, have been charged for engaging in a transaction involving criminal property, conspiracy to defraud and obtaining money by false pretense. While one was charged for breaches of the Intellectual Property Act. Police say their identities are being withheld, to facilitate further investigations.
