Alia at it again

Jamaican swimmer Alia Atkinson has advanced to the semi-finals of the 100 metre breaststroke at the World Championship in Barcelona, Spain. She finished third in her heat early Monday morning, clocking 1.07 seconds to progress 10th fastest overall.
In her semi-final later Monday, Atkinson will have to contend with world record holder, American Jessica Hardy. It is the same event in which she made the final at the Olympic Games last year.
The other Jamaican swimmer Zara Bailey will resume competition later this week in the 400 metre individual medley after finishing 36th overall in the 200 metre individual medley. Bailey placed 5th in her heat in 2.18 seconds, four-tenths of a second, slower than her seed time
