An investigation is being conducted, following the seizure of $120 million worth of cigarettes in a container at Kingston Wharves. During routine examination of domestic import containers, officers found the 20-foot container, originating in Panama, with contents declared as paper products. It contained three brands of cigarettes. The matter is being investigated by the Jamaica Customs Agency's Border Protection Unit and the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s Trans-national Crimes and Narcotics Division. No one has been arrested, so far, in connection with the find.
