The late former bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Jamaica and the Cayman Islands, the Rev. Dr. Neville DeSouza, was laid to rest yesterday. Bishop DeSouza who died on December 12th after a long illness, was given an official funeral service at the St. Andrew Parish Church. Among the well-wishers at the funeral were Prime Minister Portia Simpson-Miller and other representatives from the government and opposition. Bishop deSouza was head of the Anglican Diocese of Jamaica and the Cayman Islands for 21 years and retired in 2000.
