Bitter sweet ending for mile relay teams at World Juniors

It was sweet redemption for Jamaica’s male 4×400-metre team, which had been disqualified in the semis as Jaheel Hyde led the boys to take the bronze on the final day of the IAAF World Junior Championships. The mile relay squad also included Martin Manley, Nathon Allen, Twayne Crooks. A good start from Crooks, who handed over to Manley put Jamaica in a medal position from the onset. Then came an impressive run by Allen, who led the pack for a few metres before handing over to the 400m hurdles World Junior champion, Hyde. In the end, Hyde led the team to a season’s best of 3:04.47 seconds behind US, and Japan.
