Former West Indies Captain Brian Lara is the latest to tout Twenty20 cricket as the format, tailor-made for the game's revival. Lara is an ambassador at the Champions League Twenty20 tournament in India, for the Trinidad and Tobago team, which has again showed the region's prowess in the format by advancing to the Tournament semi-finals. Lara who admitted to his short-comings in Twenty20 Cricket, lauded the game's innovators. He said, he is the sort of player that needed a little bit of time to get in. He admits, “it’s a new game that he admires and he thinks it’s necessary that cricket invented something new as he believes the sport is losing a bit of the crowd and this has definitely done a wonderful job.
