The National Water Commission (NWC) says rehabilitation works on the Burnt Savannah facility in St. Elizabeth will result in residents in several communities being without water for the next 5 weeks. The NWC says the interruption in water supply will be from September 12 to Sunday October 16. The water company says it will provide trucked water to affected customers. Areas to be affected include: Burnt Savannah, Lacovia, Round Hill, Dry Harbour, Knoxwood, Holland Village, Holland Mountain, Slipe, Cuffies Pen, Burton, Frenchman, Punches and surrounding areas.
