Businessman Patrick Powell has been found guilty of failing to hand over his licensed firearm and ammunition to the police for inspection. The verdict was handed down by Parish Judge Vaughn Smith in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court a short while ago. Powell will be sentenced on August 9.Powell was acquitted last year October for the charge of Murder in the Kahjeel Mais’ case. 17-year-old Mais, was shot on July 1 while travelling in a taxi on Highland Drive in St Andrew. It was alleged that Powell had shot the teen after the taxi that Mais was travelling in had hit his X6.
