The Ministry of Labour and Social Security has launched a probe into the circumstances that resulted in the death of a Chinese national at a hotel construction site in Negril, Westmoreland yesterday. The identity of the Chinese man has not been released. Head of the Westmoreland Police DSP David White, says initial reports indicate that about 3:00pm, construction workers were operating some heavy machinery at the Azul hotel site off the Norman Manley Boulevard in Negril. There was reportedly some miscalculation and the Chinese foreign national got caught up in the equipment and was injured. He subsequently died.
