Classes resumed today for the 30 students of Arcadia Basic School in St. Thomas who were last week displaced by a fire at the institution. The students have been relocated to the neighbouring Arcadia Primary School and are being housed in the library and resource centre. The school building which was constructed in January was destroyed. Damage has been estimated at $30 million. According to reports, a man of unsound mind was seen coming from the board structure when the fire started. He had to be rescued from an angry mob by the police. He remains in custody.
