Clinton urges Dominicans, Haitians to calm tensions

Former US President Bill Clinton has urged Dominicans and Haitians ease tensions following a Constitutional Court ruling which ruled thousands of children born to Haitians, stateless. Clinton who was speaking in an interview with CNN en Espanol yesterday lauded Santo Domingo for sending aid during the January 2010 earthquake which killed over 300,000 Haitians and ravaged Port-au-Prince. Mr. Clinton has warned that if tensions between both nations continue it could jeopardize their developments and he called on both governments to resolve the issues surrounding the Constitutional Court ruling.
