A male driver has been hospitalised in critical condition following a motor vehicle crash on the North South Highway Wednesday afternoon. About 12:30 p.m., the man was driving a truck hauling a 40-foot container, when he reportedly failed to negotiate a corner in the vicinity of Mammee Bay near St. Ann's Bay. The truck crashed into an embankment. Some residents went to assist the driver, while others looted the container. The area is becoming a concern for motorists. In the last two months, there have been four major crashes at the location.
