There is a heavy police presence in the vicinity of Glendevon Primary and Junior High School in St. James after gunshots were fired close to the institution on Tuesday afternoon. Superintendent Marlon Nesbeth, head of the St. James Police, said a major operation was conducted in the area this morning and two persons were taken into custody. Two others schools in Norwood were also affected as parents arrived to pick up their children early. Only 60% of students turned up this morning at Glendevon Primary and Junior High School. Some teachers were also absent.
