THE husband of murdered television personality, Christine Hewitt told the police that men had visited the house they shared asking for her. He also said that on one occasion, the men came back, held a gun to his head and threatened to kill him. This detail formed part of David Gordon's statement to the police on June 30, 2006 following Hewitt's murder. The statement was read into evidence in the St Catherine Circuit Court and had the rapt attention of the panel of 12 jurors. According to the statement, read by Detective Inspector Fitz Richards of the Major Investigation Taskforce, Gordon said that in early March 2006, four men came to the house they shared in Linstead, St Catherine, and asked for his wife, who was just entering politics at the time. He said the men told him that they wanted her to be the mic co-ordinator at a show, and that he told the men she was not home and they left.
