Andrew Holness, leader of the Jamaica Labour Party is not wasting any time in charting the way forward, following his win in Sunday’s leadership election. He has hinted at a reorganization of the Party's machinery. Minutes after word emerged from the National Arena that he had defeated Audley Shaw for the top post, Mr. Holness declared that changes are on the horizon. He told reporters that they will be made to his slate of Opposition Spokespersons and other key areas of the Party. Following months of spirited campaigning and heated differences, JLP delegates re-elected Mr. Holness as Leader. In what has been described as a convincing win, he received 2,704 votes to 2,012 votes cast for Mr Shaw, following the election at the National Arena.
