Jamaica becomes 68th country to recognise Interpol document

Jamaica has become the 68th country to recognize the Interpol travel document, a move which is to allow agents of the international criminal police organization, easier travel. This was revealed yesterday at the post cabinet briefing at Jamaica House. Information Minister, Sandrea Falconer said, “The Interpol document will be accepted under the following conditions, in cases where the traveller is from a country that requires a visa for travel, the Interpol passport is an electronic passbook. The Interpol e-passport id card has to be presented with a letter of invitation from local authorities in Jamaica and a valid national passport should be presented.” Minister Falconer added that the agreement would be reviewed in three years.
