Jamaican swimmer Timothy Wynter way off

Jamaican swimmer Timothy Wynter was way off his personal best of 57.31 seconds in today's heats of the 100 metre backstroke at the World Junior Swimming Championship in Dubai. The multiple Carifta Medallist clocked 59 seconds flat for 32nd overall, ending hopes of progressing to the semi-finals. Wynter was the first of two Jamaicans to compete.
He is also scheduled to swim the 50 metre backstroke later this week as well as the 50 and 100 metre butterfly and 50 metre freestyle. The nation's other representative at the six day championship, Sidrell Williams will also swim the 50 and 100 metre butterfly alongside the 50 and 100 metre freestyle.
