JLP Credits Poll Gains On Vigilance For People's Interest

The Opposition Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) says the results of the latest Gleaner polls published yesterday, showing it gaining improved ratings by the public, are consistent with the feedback it has been receiving from the masses. Speaking at yesterday&;s central executive meeting, party leader Andrew Holness said while the JLP has been undergoing its own challenges, it has been looking out for the interest of the people and holding the Government accountable. The polls published in yesterday&;s Sunday Gleaner show that 46 per cent of Jamaicans believe that the JLP leader would do a better job at managing the country, compared with 26 per cent who think the current prime minister and leader of the ruling Peoples&; National Party, Portia Simpson Miller, would be the best person to lead the country.
