Justice Ministry to spend $40m on improving file storage in courts

The Ministry of Justice has signed two contracts valued at almost $40 million to improve the storage and retrieval of files in the court system. It is part of a wider programme to modernise the court systems and improve efficiency. One of the contracts, valued just less than $19 million, will go towards the procurement of file folders and software for the Supreme Court Registry for its high density filing system. The items are expected to be delivered by February next year. The contractor, Inova Solutions Jamaica, is expected to design, install and train users in the system
