The Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) has commended the Jamaica Constabulary Force for the quick arrest and charge of those accused of the murder of bus driver Albert Barnes, who was shot dead while on duty in August Town, St Andrew, on December 29, 2015. Barnes, who was employed by the JUTC in 2011, was shot as he was about to leave August Town after completing a trip to the community. JUTC is also appreciative of the open show of support to the company by members of the August Town community, who came out in protest against Barnes’ murder.
