Man lost at sea for 12 days is rescued off coast of Hawaii

The U.S. Coast Guard found 67-year-old Ron Ingraham about 64 miles south of Honolulu, Hawaii yesterday after he made a distress call from his sailboat that disappeared in the waters. The USS Paul Hamilton was just 14 miles away and found the "weak, hungry and dehydrated" sailor. Ingraham is expected to arrive in port today, after being transferred to a Coast Guard cutter. He first issued distress calls when his boat began taking on water on November 27, but a 12,000-square-mile search failed to spot the 25-foot sailboat and the Coast Guard called off the effort four days later.
