Newcomers Barbican, busy at first transfer window

Barbican FC, who will make its debut in the country’s top football competition – the Red Stripe National Premier League – has acquired four players in the first transfer window. The club has finalized transfers for Glenford Brown, Roy Forbes, Mario McDonald and Stephen Squire, all from Rae Town FC. Boys’ Town, Cavalier and Sporting Central Academy have also used the transfer window. Boys’ Town has welcome back former national defender Xavian Virgo, who played almost two seasons at Harbour View. Cavalier acquired Jeffrey Grant from August Town and Davion Roberts from Boys’ Town, while Sporting Central Academy snatched Kimani Beaton from Waterhouse. National player Jermaine ‘Tuffy’ Anderson also makes a return to his old club Waterhouse, from CD Aguila in El Salvador. The 2014-2015 season of the Red Stripe Premier League is scheduled to kick off next month.
