Police in Montego Bay have reported that a firearm and several rounds of ammunition were seized after a shoot-out with gunmen on Monday. The Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) said in a release Tuesday that the lawmen were on patrol in Norwood, St James, about 8:40 am when men allegedly opened gunfire at them. The gunfire was returned and after the shooting subsided, the area was searched. One Inter-Dynamic sub-machine gun with a magazine containing five 9mm rounds of ammunition was reportedly seized.
