Norman Manley High through to second round of ISSA LIME Manning Cup

Norman Manley High School secured their place in the second round of the ISSA LIME Manning Cup yesterday courtesy of a nil-all draw away to St. Andrew Technical High. The point means Norman Manley joins defending champion Jamaica College as the teams progressing from Group G. Waterford High improved their chance of qualifying with a 4-2 win over Kingston College, who slipped to third on 12 points, one behind Waterford. Kingston College has a game in hand. It ended nil-all between Haile Selassie and Camperdown in a Group D top of the table clash, while Bridgeport blanked Papine four-nil in the group. Wolmers&; closed out Group E in dominant fashion as they beat Trench Town 4-nil with three goals from Corey Bennett, who now has 10 goals this season. Charlie Smith hammered Vauxhall 7-nil. Vauxhall could still make progress as one of the best third place teams.
