The National Water Commission (NWC) is assuring customers in sections of St. Ann, who are served by the Walkerswood and Thatch Hill systems, that it is working assiduously to restore their water supply. It is expected that normal operations will resume at the Thatch Hill facility by September 21, 2013 and the Walkerswood facility by September 23. In the meantime, the NWC will continue to truck water to customers in the affected areas, which include Thatch Hill, Mile End, Upton, Four Road, Lodge, Union, Walkerswood, Colegate and Dunnsville. At the same time, customers in Barnstaple, Jackson Town, Westwood, Stewart Town, Jackson Hill and Mahogony Hall will experience a disruption in their water supply due to electrical challenges at the Barnstaple facility. The NWC regrets any inconvenience caused and will provide updates as the work progresses.
