An ultimatum and warning of legal action have not rattled the officer corps of the People's National Party, PNP, which is pressing ahead with the installation of Michael Erskine as the candidate for Central Westmoreland. It is also defending the selection process and says there is no meeting planned at this time with former Vice President Dr. Karl Blythe to discuss his concerns. Dr. Blythe has given senior officers of the Party until tomorrow to rethink the process used to select Mr. Erskine or face legal action. According to Dr. Blythe, the process was unconstitutional. A meeting will be held today with delegates and group members in Central Westmoreland to finalize Mr. Erskine's candidacy.
