Following a fire at the Knockalva Basic School in Hanover, the polling station has been transferred to Fitzroy Bailey’s premises. Voting has commenced at the new location and is going smoothly at this time. Preliminary investigations revealed that the fire might be the work of arsonists. A meeting is currently underway at the ECJ headquarters with the Political Ombudsman of Jamaica, Donna Parchment Brown, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Warren Clarke as well as other persons involved in the electoral process for this year's general elections. Director of Elections Orrette Fisher is expected to brief the media around 11:30 am.
