The police are warning consumers to be extra careful when purchasing goat meat this yuletide season as thieves slaughtered dozens of goats, including some that were pregnant, on a farm in Irwin, St James. It's reported that on Saturday morning, the farmer discovered thirty-five of the goats slaughtered on the farm. Two dogs that were used to provide security were also killed. The goats were valued at J$5 million. The Praedial Larceny Prevention Unit says the killing of the goats is also a breach of the Livestock Control Order and the Public Health Act.
