Commuters could face a further increase in taxi fares early in the new year. The Route Taxi Association of Jamaica (RTAJ) Wednesday night served notice that it will be seeking another fare adjustment as its members are dissatisfied with the 25 per cent increase which takes effect on Sunday. This follows a meeting Wednesday with the Association's executive. However, Sophia Campbell, RTAJ’s president, declined to state the additional increase that the group will be seeking. The group represents 3,500 taxi operators across the island.
