Edward Seaga, Chairman of the Premier League Clubs Association (PLCA) has resigned from the post effective immediately. Mr. Seaga who led the organization for the past six years said he has requested that the PLCA that a new chairman be chosen when it meets later this month. Mr. Seaga, a former prime minister of Jamaica said he was sad to be leaving the post but said he was unable to continue. The news comes on the heels of reports of Tivoli Gardens Football Club withdrawing from the Red Stripe Premier League for the 2014/2015 season. It is believed the club that finished fifth in the RSPL is broke. However, there has been no official word from representatives of the club.
