Six men were taken into custody and several thousand US dollars seized at the island's two international airports between Thursday and Saturday as the police continue the clampdown on the lottery scam. On Thursday three men were arrested after an American citizen who was reportedly transporting proceeds from the scam was held at the Norman Manley International Airport. An operation was also carried out in Kingston and St. Catherine on Friday by the Major Organised Crime and Anti-Corruption Task Force, MOCA as well as the Flying Squad. On Saturday, another American who was allegedly lured to the island by the scammers was intercepted at the Sangster International Airport. Three men were arrested in a subsequent sting operation in Trelawny. The men, whose ages range from 18 to 37, will be questioned this week.
