Tajaun Gibbison of Knox Junior School crowned the 2014 Gleaner Children’s Own Spelling Bee champion

Tajaun Gibbison of Knox Junior School in Clarendon was crowned the 2014 Gleaner Children’s Own Spelling Bee champion today. Gibbison won by correctly spelling the word “Hypo/geu/sia” which is a reduced ability to taste things (to taste sweet, sour, bitter, or salty substances). The Knox Junior School student who is coached by the Reverend Glen Archer will set his sights on the Scripps Howard National Bee competition to be held in the United States capital, in May.
