Win shoots Williams-Mills closer to 400m Diamond League win

Jamaica&;s Novlene Williams Mills all but secured the IAAF Diamond League 400m title after a brilliant run yesterday joining sprinter Nesta Carter as two Jamaican winners at the DN Galan meeting in Stockholm, Sweden. The 32-year-old breast cancer survivor beat a quality field to win in 50.09 seconds, a full metre ahead of a fast charging American Sanya Richards Ross (50.27 seconds) and World Leader Francena McCorory (50.65 seconds). Commonwealth Games champion Stephenie McPherson was fourth in 51.01 seconds ahead of compatriot and Commonwealth Games bronze medal winner Christine Day (52.03 seconds).
